So today I basically just had a laugh in the studio - the ring flash was set up and I thought I'd have a little play around with it! :')
Here is something that I made with some of the shots :') (Sorry about the messy hair and makeup - blame the rain! - oh, and I know I look it here, but I am not ginger either! haha :'))

Bath time...
Monday 21st January 2013
Today's shoot was based around the idea of committing suicide in the bath i.e. cutting yourself. It was also a shoot where there was a secondary idea of drowning yourself too. It is the first free shoot that I have done at home as I needed to use the bathroom for the shoot.
This shoot was fun to do and I would definitely work like it again. Though I did encounter many struggles to begin with and the shoots original idea got diluted down a lot, I now have a something to work from and develop further which is something I really want to do with this shoot. Here are some of the photos that I have ended up with!
Thank you so much to my gorgeous model here, Gemma! xxx
Overdose!
Friday 18th January
So today I thought I'd tackle the issue of overdosing in photography.
For this shoot, I had the idea of getting someone to lie on the floor with their mouth over-filled with pills, or more accurately tictaks or something like that. However, when going out to get supplies for this shoot it turned out to be cheaper to just buy loads and loads of paracetamol and ibuprofen, so I ended up with 256 paracetamol and ibuprofen for my shoot!
I am really happy with the result of this shoot - though there was a few minor problems to begin with it was something that was quickly worked through. I was also able to work on some Photoshop skills in this shoot which can be seen on the eyes. Here are some of the photos from the shoot...

Skull - TAKE 2
Okay, so I have been ill the last week and didn't have a shoot planned for today, nevertheless, I still did a shoot!
Basically, an A2 student from the other class saw my skull mouth makeup that I did a couple weeks ago before Christmas for a shoot, and asked me if I would do something similar for her today and I agreed. So I used the similar look that I did last time for today too - it seemed such a waste other wise seeing as I'd made the effort and walked through college looking like it! Here are some of the photos...
Here are also some edits I was just messing around with that I actually quite like...

Project Development...
Okay, so now I have all my written work done I have the whole of January to develop my project with other shoots.
I think I am going to do a project that would entail me creating a series of characters going through impossible experiences... I want to tackle controversy head on, making the project morbid and dark. I have created a series of 'stories' almost about a character(s) that experience horrific things such as rape, drugs, alcohol abuse, self harm etc. and their journey through all this to where they are today.
I have also been inspired by Danielle Tunstall's electronic portfolio and photography videos (a link can be found in my inspiration bar to her website) and when I have all the shoots done I want to create a full video with music to show the entire 'story' and shoots in order - depending on how I feel about all my shoot once I have completed them I may not actually put them in any particular order and instead just use them to show the horrific experiences I am portraying through digital art.
Here is an example of what I would like to achieve:

I also really want to improve on my Photoshop skills while doing this project and one thing I would definately like to look at super imposing a skull and human face together (this is relevant to my project) and other gore effects available to Photoshop to really make my work look dark and brutal.
Here is a tutorial I liked and will be using to help me:

EVERYTHING SHOT DURING THIS PROJECT WILL BE ENTIRELY STAGED AND ANY MORBID EFFECTS USED WILL BE DONE ENTIRELY THROUGH THE USE OF PHOTOSHOP MANIPULATION AND/OR MAKEUP.
